Our History

Indulge in delicious fudge and sweet salt water taffy this summer on the world-famous Wildwood Boardwalk at Mallin's Fudge! As I open for our 80th year, I proudly offer 27 flavors of copper kettle-made fudge, a variety of fresh-pulled salt water taffy, and endless options for chocolate confections.
I am celebrating my 29th year at Mallin's Fudge. I started as a teenager during my vacations from my home state of Kentucky and continued working through my college years. I eventually became a teacher at a Catholic school in Philadelphia, which afforded me summers off. In 2017, the former owner, Joe Dilks, gladly passed the torch to me, and I became the owner of Mallin's Fudge.
I continue to provide a variety of fudge flavors made from the same tried-and-true recipe used in 1946. The store boasts some of the best prices on the boardwalk, including our popular Buy One Pound, Get One Pound Free fudge special and other great offerings.
Our salt water taffy is pulled on-site and finished on the famous cut-and-wrap machine at the front of the store. The machine was added in 1953 and is affectionately named Rosie, as it was invented by the Rose Brothers. Customers can read about the history of the machine and watch it in action.
Mallin's Fudge was originally opened by James, a Jewish man who changed his last name to the Irish "Mallin" after World War II—a perfect fit for the North Wildwood community.
Mallin's Fudge is open daily in season at 2418 Boardwalk. We offer every sweet treat you can imagine, plus homemade dog treats, custom hand-painted shells, and more. You can often find me behind the counter, frequently alongside my parents, Bill and Lynn.
Mallin's Fudge ships nationwide and is open year-round online at MallinsFudge.com.
